Maeve Branigan (born May 29th, 1980) is an alleged criminal, with crimes ranging from drug trafficking to murder. Though she has never been convicted of a crime, she is believed to have ties with the crime family The Sidanno Crew in New Jersey and the now disbanded Crescent City Syndicate in New Orleans. Currently she resides in Jersey City, New Jersey. Though she hasn’t been seen with the Sidanno Crew, there is information that has been released linking her to the crew.

Early Life
When Maeve was a small girl, around the age of eight, she committed a brutal murder in her childhood home. While her mother and brother were out of the house she had a friend over. It’s not known why but for some reason Maeve turned on her friend killing her with a shovel, decapitating her. After the incident Branigan was determined mentally unfit and she was placed into a psychiatric ward until the age of 21. The doctor’s diagnosed Maeve with several disorders including; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Multiple Personality Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. After being placed in the mental facility, Maeve was placed on heavy sedatives along with mood stabilizers and anxiety medications. She also participated in numerous sessions of therapy a week to try and help her talk about her problems. Even when that didn’t work, they continued, sending her to a therapist five times a week to keep an eye on her mental awareness.
While in the mental facility she learned the basic foundation of crime; from stealing, drugs and violence. At one point, at the age of 12, Branigan beat up another girl sending her to the hospital for two weeks. The medical file was never released so it is unknown what injuries the girl sustained. For the rest of Maeve’s stay she continued to learn about crime and continued to inflict violence on others when ever possible. It wasn’t until age 18 that Maeve found out what drugs were really about. Another patient was able to have an outside family member sneak in an illicit drug which was in turn given to Maeve. Branigan took the drug and was immediately hooked, that drug was cocaine. After a long haul in the mental hospital, Maeve was released into her brother’s custody on September 14th 2001.
Life outside the mental hospital
After Maeve Branigan’s release from the psychiatric facility it is believed that she moved in with her brother. From her brothers’ record, many believe that Maeve joined him, participating in criminal activity. Some have said that Kyle Branigan has no dealings with criminal activity but others repute that, saying that he is deeply involved in all aspects of criminal life. Maeve and her brother have been spotted several times together, leaving Sidanno run establishments, among other criminal related establishments. Though Kyle has never been seen talking with any of the members of Sidanno or any other criminal organization, there’s no telling if the rumors are true that Kyle Branigan is indeed taking part in crime. There have been several incidents however that have supposedly been linked to the Branigan’s but there’s no confirmation on that.
Reported Criminal Activity
January 12th, 2008 – A man was found dead two blocks from his apartment, dumped inside of a garbage can. There are no confirmed reports but there’s a possibility that Maeve may have killed the man after being released from the psychiatric facility, using his apartment as a place to stay before she reached her brothers. The location was between the hospital and her brothers’ apartment at the time.
“We are unaware if this is the doing of one Maeve Branigan but we are currently investigating all leads,” Officer Joe Malone said after the body was found.
As of yet, no one has been charged with the murder of Marco Leone.
February 17th, 2008 – Just over a month after being released from the hospital another body turned up in New Orleans, twenty-five miles from where the last murder, believed to be committed by Maeve, had occurred. Shameless or Jimmy Kay was found brutally murdered along with two of Kay’s associates. Found on the concrete floor next to the bodies of the men were sixteen shell casings, none with fingerprints. Jimmy was believed to have been tortured by either Maeve or Kyle, it is not known. Many think that the murders were in retaliation for Shameless and his men beating Kyle so bad that they broke his arm and put him in the emergency room for several days.
“At this time we have no witnesses and there were no fingerprints left on the scene so it is difficult to tell who could have done this. We are going to be taking this into further investigation,” detective Carlos Manuel said to reporters.
February 18th, 2008 – One day after the murder of Shameless yet another murder victim was found. Michael Geraci, who was rumored to belong to the Crescent City Syndicate, was found dead in the middle of an open field. Maeve Branigan belonged to the CCS at the same time that Geraci was murdered. Though it can’t be proven, some speculate that Branigan was ordered by the head of the CCS to take out Geraci for disloyalty.
February 19th, 2008 – These are the only murders that can be partially linked to Maeve and Kyle Branigan. There were no witnesses to the crime but police believe that Maeve and Joey Mags murdered two members of a Colombian cartel. The cartel was rumored to be shipping in mass quantity of drugs that the CCS wanted to control. Mags and the two Branigan’s ended up getting the drugs and killing two members in the process of stealing the drugs. No one has been prosecuted for these crimes.
May 26th 2008 – It is unknown why Branigan took such a long hiatus between her last two killings but it is still believed that she committed the crimes. By this time Maeve was supposedly involved with the Sidanno Crew but there is no evidence to support that fact. Regardless Maeve was rumored to have killed Su Lin, a member of the Blue Lotus. Su Lin was found in a hotel room five days after her murder with a tanto knife stuck in her right temple. There were also reports that she had been tortured before she was murdered due to the petechial hemorrhaging under the eyes.
“Again, we can’t link this to Branigan, due to the fact that there were no witnesses but were are doing everything we can to try and catch her if she is the killer,” detective Carlos Manuel said.
Present Day
At this time Maeve Branigan has not been charged or arrested for any of the crimes she is believed to have committed due to lack of evidence and witnesses. She currently resides in Jersey City, New Jersey and is still believed to be working for The Sidanno Crew with her brother Kyle. She continued on with her everyday life and since the murder on May 26th hasn’t committed another crime, as far as the police believe.
